Welding as career


 

Welders are employed in a variety of industries. Some work in steel fabrication company, auto manufacturing, refrigeration, aviation industry, shipbuilding and Oil & gas industry.

The starting pay for welders in the Philippines is from P5,000/month up to P15,000/month. While experienced welders working overseas is from P30,000/month up to P250,000/month depending on the company and location they are working.

Filipino welders obtain training at technical colleges, trade schools, and some starts initially as helpers in fabrication companies. 

Heats School of Welding Technology, Inc. offer the SMAW NC I, SMAW NC II and GTAW NC II programs. These programs teach welding, blueprint reading and welding quality control. 

Welders work 8 hours a day, 6 days a week in the Philippines while overseas, some works for 8 hours a day and some works for 10 hours a day.

There are various countries where the  filipino welders are working. Some of those are Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Angola, Sudan, Iran, Kasakhztan, Russia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei and many more. The most popular place and where most of the filipino welders work is in Saudi Arabia.
